Call for papers

Abstracts for the Helsinki Health Law Days are to be submitted by email to abstract-healthlaw@helsinki.fi by April 30, 2025. The abstract should relate to one of the conference topics and be between 250 and 500 words. 

If you wish to propose a topic related to Health Law that may not fit within the proposed themes, please contact healthlaw@helsinki.fi, and the organizers will be in touch.

We welcome abstracts from all professional backgrounds, including academics, legal practitioners, and health professionals, as well as from young researchers. We also welcome practical perspectives and case studies on related topics. Selected texts may be published as an article in a University of Helsinki publication. 

1. Pharmaceutical Law

• The impact of the forthcoming Pharma Law package on innovation and access to medicines
• Regulatory challenges in addressing antimicrobial resistance
• Reimbursement and early access models 

2. Personalized Medicine and Health Technology

• Ethical and legal considerations in the use of AI in healthcare

3. Emerging Trends in the European Health Law
