As the world continues to navigate the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and embraces transformative advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and personalized medicine, Health Law has emerged as a critical field of study at both EU and international levels. To address the legal challenges posed by these developments, the law is evolving through initiatives such as the AI Act, Data Act, the European Health Data Space, and the forthcoming Pharma Law package.
The Helsinki Health Law Days will serve as a dynamic platform for the exchange of research and ideas at the intersection of Health Law, technology, and personalised medicine. Over two days, participants will engage in presentations and discussions across three key themes:
1. Pharmaceutical Law
2. Personalized Medicine and Health Technology
3. Emerging Trends in the European Health Law
In addition to keynote presentations and panel discussions, attendees can look forward to networking opportunities and the chance to contribute to a post-conference publication compiling the best presentations into an edited volume.
The conference will be held at the University of Helsinki, a prestigious institution in a city known for its historical ties to health law, as exemplified by the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki. Taking place in late summer, the event offers a perfect blend of academic insight and cultural enrichment, as the city awakens from its seasonal hiatus and Finnish nature and culture offer their best face.
