Welcome reception and conference dinner

The welcome reception will be held in the Kaisaniemi Botanic Gardens, and the conference dinner at the Natural History Museum located in the centre of Helsinki.
Welcome reception

The Kaisaniemi Botanic Gardens consist of historical outdoor gardens, greenhouses and a botanical museum. 

The welcome reception will be held in the greenhouses which have been made available exclusively for conference guests during the reception. 

A sparkling drink and small savoury snack will be served to particpating guests.

The botanic gardens are located at Kaisaniemenranta 2, on the side of the main outdoor gardens, between the areas of Hakaniemi and Kaisaniemi. 

The museum can be easily reached by public transport. Bus number 78 leaves from the conference venue (Viikin tiedepuisto H3173) and stops at Kaisaniemenpuisto (H2060). A short walk of 450m takes you to the entrance to the gardens. 

Conference dinner

The Natural History Museum houses five permanent exhibitions which will be open to all participants at the conference dinner. The museum will be closed to the public during the dinner.

The dinner will include a warm buffet, salad, dessert, tea/coffee and other drinks.

The museum is located at Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu 13, just behind the Parliament House, right in the centre of Helsinki. The building is easily identified by the elk statue next to the main entrance.

The museum can be reached by public transport or on foot/bike from the Kaisaniemi Botanic Gardens if you are also taking part in the Welcome reception. 

There are coat racks and lockers available for participants.
