20th Annual Aleksanteri Conference postponed to 27 - 29 Oct 2021

The Organizing Committee of the Aleksanteri Conference has decided to postpone the 20th Aleksanteri Conference, Eurasia and Global Migration.

The annual conference was planned to be held on 21-23 October 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will take place a year later, on 27—29 October, 2021.

In making this difficult decision, we have taken into account the ongoing global pandemic and the Finnish Government’s guidelines on hosting mass events. We want to make sure that everyone has a safe and equal chance to participate.

About Aleksanteri Conferences

The Aleksanteri Conference is an annual, multidisciplinary, international event organised by the Aleksanteri Institute, the Finnish Centre for Russian and Eastern European Studies, at the University of Helsinki since 2001. Aleksanteri conferences have attracted broad interest among researchers and policy-makers in a wide variety of disciplines, both in Finland and abroad, who are interested in the development of post-socialist countries.
