Arrival from the Airport

Helsinki has excellent public transport. From Helsinki airport you can take the I or P train directly to Helsinki Central Station (the journey takes approximately 30 minutes). You need to buy tickets in advance before you get on a train. There is a ticket stand on the railway platform at the airport, or you can download the HSL app. From the airport to the city center you will need a ticket that covers zones A, B, and C. Currently, the train ticket for these three zones costs 4,10 €.

If you prefer to get a taxi from the airport, you simply follow the signs to the taxi stand, but this is significantly more expensive: a taxi journey from the airport to central Helsinki is approximately 35-50 €.
