The Democratic Epistemic Capacities in the Age of Algorithms (DECA) explores the systems, practices and issues related to the use of information at the various levels of society (individuals, institutions and digital infrastructures). The consortium is funded by the Strategic Research Council.

Media platforms and social accountability: Dynamics, practices and discourses (MAPS) is a research project at the University of Helsinki. MAPS examines digital media platforms as crucial sites for accountability processes and debates across a range of global contexts. Project is funded by the Academy of Finland

The Euromedia Research Group is a network of European researchers. It aims to collect and exchange information and to develop and apply frameworks that help to describe and analyse developments in media structure and policy in the European region. The core activity of the group has been to meet regularly in each others’ countries and to produce a sequence of books.
