HEPP2 registration and conference

HEPP2 conference registration and programme is available. It looks like a major event, in the populism research field, with three open keynotes, and four thematic roundtables in the conference, alongside 150+ presentations and over 200 participants.

We are excited to have 200+ more scholars around the world joining us for the second Helsinki Emotions Populism and Polarisation Conference #HEPP2. There are three keynotes Bice Maiguashca, Silivo Waisbord, and our local stars Johanna Sumiala & Katja Valaskivi. The conference is organised through Microsoft Teams to generate space for interaction beyond the videoconference links. We look forward to generating conversation across research projects, and across the globe. The keynotes will be made available open to all as Teams Live events, and later for wider audiences.

We have a set of technical assistants to help the way out and there are chairs for each session. The Conference is sponsored by the Academy of Finland projects Mainstreaming Populism in the 21st Century, for which is the final conference, and Whirl of Knowledge: Cultural Populism and Polarisation in European Politics and Societies, which will be supporting also HEPP3 in 2022 with Now-Time Us-Space funded by the Kone foundation, and DeRadicalisation in Europe and Beyond European Commission funded Horizon 2020 project.
