The Symposium will be held at the University of Helsinki City Center Campus in the Main Building (address: Fabianinkatu 33)
The Hackathon will be held at the University of Helsinki Meilahti Campus in the Biomedicum complex (Haartmaninkatu 8).

The most convenient (and the cheapest) travel option from the Helsinki airport to the Helsinki central railway station (and back) is by local train. The airport is served by two train lines, I and P, that both end up in the city center. The trains run from 5am to midnight, the travel time is approximately 30 minutes and the trains depart every 10 minutes. To travel between Helsinki airport and the Helsinki city center, purchase ABC zone ticket that costs 4.10€ (A zone for city center, C zone is where the airport locates). Tickets can be purchased from vending machines at the airport and the central railway station, but if you plan to use public transport during your stay in Helsinki (for instance to the hackathon venue), it is recommended to install the HSL app for purchasing tickets.

Taxi from the airport to the city center costs approximately 35-50€ and depends on the operator. Taksi Helsinki offers a fixed price of 35€.
The Symposium Venue is in the Helsinki City Center and thus conveniently located to numerous hotels. We have not booked rooms for symposium participants as there should be plenty of options available during the CytoData 2023 dates. Here are a few suggestions:
Scandic Grand Central Helsinki (~150-160 EUR / night including breakfast): Located next to the main railway station approximately 700 meters from the symposium venue.
Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna (~160-180 EUR / night including breakfast): Located next to the main railway station approximately 700 meters from the symposium venue.
Hotel Arthur (~100-110 EUR / night including breakfast): Located 600 meters from the symposium venue.
Scandic Kaisaniemi (~110-120 EUR / night including breakfast): Located 400 meters from the symposium venue.
Participants of the hackathon could also consider the following hotel which locates next to the hackathon venue about 20 minute tram ride from the symposium venue:
