Welcome to the 28th International Conference of the Simone de Beauvoir Society!
The conference is open to all, but to enjoy the refreshments we offer and to participate in the University of Helsinki Reception you need to register.

Before registering, please read carefully the instructions below.
This applies to students, researchers and everyone else, who wishes to drop in to listen keynote lectures or individual panels.
Choose "Registration for visitors" from the “Product variations” menu.
You are warmly welcome to attend also the University of Helsinki Reception, where wine and snacks are served!
If you wish to attend the reception, click also the box "Beauvoir2023: Helsinki University Reception" from the “Related products” menu.
Note that also visitors have to proceed via checkout and give their billing address by clicking the shopping cart icon.
This applies to conference presenters.
The conference fee varies from 55 to 134 euros depending on whether you want to participate in the dinner and sight-seeing activities.
Choose "Registration for speakers" from the Product variations menu. This is the minimum conference fee that speakers are required to contribute.
We warmly welcome you to the University of Helsinki Reception on the first day! However, registration is required.

The conference dinner will be served at Restaurant Sunn.
If you wish to participate in the conference dinner, choose one dinner option from the “Related products” menu.
We will also offer you the possibility to join us in a small sight-seeing tour to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress on Saturday morning.
If you wish to participate in the sight-seeing tour to Suomenlinna, choose Beauvoir2023: Guided Tour to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress from the “Related products” menu.
Please specify if you have any dietary restrictions (e.g., vegan, gluten-free, nut allergy) in the box. Note that the refreshments served at the University of Helsinki Reception will be vegan, but other dietary restrictions cannot be taken into account with respect to the reception.
We are also organising a “Meet the Authors” section during the conference. If you have published a book by an academic publisher (published within three years) and wish to discuss it in the Meet the Authors section (to appear in the program if enough books are submitted), please mark also the box “I wish to submit a recent book of mine”.
Please take into account that you must bring the book/s yourself to the event (organisers will not be in contact with publishers). The organisers will be in contact with the authors separately.
