Can existentialism act as an antidote to the ongoing political and epistemic crisis, often discussed in terms of “a post-truth era”?
The 28th International Conference of the Simone de Beauvoir Society invites you to rediscover the legacy of existentialism, and, in particular, that of Simone de Beauvoir, from the angle of truth, untruth and post-truth.
The conference will be held at the University of Helsinki City Centre Campus in the Porthania building (Yliopistonkatu 3), Room P673 and P674 (6th floor). The conference is open to all, but to enjoy the refreshments we offer and to participate in the University of Helsinki Reception you need to register.
Keynotes: Sara Heinämaa (Finland), Kathleen Lennon (UK) and Tove Pettersen (Norway).
