If you have any questions or need more information concerning the AFinLA autumn symposium 2022, please do not hesitate to contact us: afinla-2022@helsinki.fi.
Individual presentations
The time allocated for individual presentations is 30 minutes (20 min. for presentation + 10 min. for discussion). Each session has a chairperson who is responsible for time management.
Each session room is equipped with a computer, a data projector and a sound transmission system. Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive/memory stick. To ensure smooth transitions between presentations, we recommend that you upload your presentation files before the beginning of your session.
If you intend to use your own Mac computer, please note that you need to bring your own adapter in order to connect your laptop to the data projector.
All rooms are wheelchair accessible (note: room A229 is partly inaccessible).
Poster presentations
The poster session takes place during the first coffee break on Friday at 10.15–11.00 am in the Aurora lobby. The recommended size for posters is A0 in portrait orientation. The posters can be set up on Friday morning (or potentially already on Thursday evening). During the poster session, poster presenters are asked to stand beside their poster and be prepared to discuss their work with those interested.
Thematic workshops
Thematic workshops include several thematically connected presentations. A workshop can also have an introduction and/or a final discussion. The workshop convenors decide on the length of presentations in the workshop.
Workshop presenters: please contact your workshop convenor(s) for details.
You can register for the symposium through the online store opened for the symposium.
Registration for presenters and workshop conveners is open until 14 September 2022, for other participants until 30 September 2022. Remember to also reserve a place for the reception at the University of Helsinki (included in the participation fee) and the conference dinner (68 eur).
