Are you enrolled in a Finnish university? Would you like to specialise in Eastern Europe (incl. Ukraine, countries in Eastern Central Europe and South-Eastern Europe, the Baltic countries), Russia, Central Asia or the Southern Caucasus in your master’s?
The Aleksanteri Institute at the University of Helsinki coordinates a network of 12 Finnish universities which offer a multidisciplinary study programme known as ExpREES (Expertise in Russian and Eastern European Studies). You can choose this minor as part of your Master's Degree in, for example, arts, social sciences, engineering or business. ExpREES is all about a variety of perspectives!
Please submit your application via the online form by 15 April. For more information, visit the website “How to apply to ExpREES?” The results will be announced by 23 May 2025.
For further information, please contact (weekdays at 9–16) Sirke Mäkinen, University Lecturer and Head of the ExpREES programme (050 4767293), or Hanna Peltonen, ExpREES Coordinator, at (02941 23681). Please be aware that during week 15, we will be unavailable by phone and there may be delays in responding to emails due to our work-related trip abroad.
