Transcript of records, required information

In order for your transcript of records to be accepted for the academic evaluation, it must contain the following information:

  • course names
  • course completion dates
  • course grades
  • course credits

If your transcript does not contain all of the above, it will not be accepted for the academic evaluation.

In such case, you must supplement your transcript of records with additional documentation that provides the required information. Please read further for instructions on how to supplement your transcript of records.

Course names

If your transcript of records does not include the names of each course you have completed, for example if it only lists course codes, you must submit a document listing the names of the courses. This can be, for example, a syllabus/course catalogue from the time of your studies. The document must be officially certified by the awarding institution.

Course completion dates

If your transcript of records does not include the completion dates of each course you have completed or mention your overall study time at the institution (date of enrollment and date of graduation), you must submit a document that states the completion dates of the individual courses. The document must be officially certified by the awarding institution.

It is also accepted if your date of enrolment and date of graduation are stated in your other officially certified educational documents.

Please note that information on the nominal duration of the programme is not sufficient.

Course grades

If your transcript of records does not include the grades awarded for each course you have completed, you must submit a document that lists the grades awarded for each course. The document must be officially certified by the awarding institution.

If your institution does not award grades for courses, you must submit an officially certified document issued by the degree awarding institution that explains the evaluation system used at the institution.

Course credits

If your transcript of records does not include the credits earned for each course you have completed, you must submit a document listing the credits earned for each course. The document must be officially certified by the awarding institution.

If your institution uses a system different from a credit-based system, such as a marks-based system, please submit an officially certified document issued by the awarding institution where the extent/scope of the study units is shown. This can be indicated, for example, as study hours required to complete the individual courses.
