The joint director for the bioloigcal stations at Tvärminne, Lammi and Kilpisjärvi is Jouni Heiskanen. The local director of TZS is Joanna Norkko and the scientific leader of TZS and professor of Baltic Sea research is Alf Norkko.
Jaana Koistinen is the Laboratory Chief at TZS. She is responsible for laboratory facilities, equipment and services.
Research Coordinators Laura Kauppi and Joanna Norkko are responsible for aquarium facilities, climate rooms, the nature reserve, and permits for field work.
Boats, boat permits, diving, sampling and other equipment are administered by the technicians at TZS.
