Viikki Food Design Factory and Helsinki Urban Tech are arranging a Mix&Match event for mixing and matching teams and people working with sustainable solutions for the agri and food businesses. The networking event will take place at the Maria 01 on the 25th of May.
The gist of the event are the teams and startups delivering novel creative products and services in the food system space. They present themselves and their future recruitment needs. Thereafter professionals interested in future work prospects can get to know the teams and discuss future interests.
Startups and teams already signed up for the event
Among the teams presenting themselves at the Food Systems Mix&Match are three alumni teams from the Viikki Food Design Factory’s first Germinator pre-incubator batch: OleoFlow, Compact Growth and Mäsli. Read more about the teams on the Germinator website. These teams are not yet startups, but are all looking for connections with future recruits for when the time is right to on-board new team members. The fourth team, Five Letter Foods, produces dog food from cultivated reindeer meat that replicates the health benefits of raw food without torturing animals and significantly decreases the carbon footprint in food production. The fifth team with an already established startup company is BinkiApp that works with farmers and governmental organizations to help farming communities become more resilient to the consequences of climate change.
