Academics and educators from nine  universities, invited by Silvia Gaiani of the University of Helsinki’s Ruralia Institute, will jointly lead the Una Europa Summer School on Sustainable Food Systems, taking place in Helsinki, Finland, from June 2–6, 2025. PhD students from all 11 Una Europa universities will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of sustainable food systems in both European and global contexts, with a special focus on alternative proteins. Interactive workshop sessions will foster collaboration and encourage creative thinking among participants.

Una Europa Summer School on Sustainable Food Systems was created as part of Una Europa’s Focus Area in Sustainability and is part of the educational and research joint programmes of the Una.Futura project co-funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme’s European Universities Initiative.
