The Finnish Organic Research Institute (FORI)

The Finnish Organic Research Institute (FORI), established in 2012, is a multidisciplinary research and expert network that operates under the auspices of the University of Helsinki and the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke).

FORI´s mission is to produce and disseminate scientific information on organic farming to businesses, consumers and society. The research is disseminated through scientific communication, education and development projects with the aim of supporting the development of Finnish organic production.

The Organic Research Institute operates as a managed network with a coordination unit located at the research cooperation centre of the Natural Resources Institute of Finland (LUKE) in Mikkeli and at in Viikki campus in Helsinki. The research and development activities of the Institute are carried out by a network of researchers and experts from the University of Helsinki and the Natural Resources Institute of Finland.
