The first article discusses the impact of farmers ’entrepreneurship on protein crop cultivation. The article has been written by Hannele Suvanto, a doctoral student at the Ruralia Institute, and Merja Lähdesmäki, a senior researcher, together with Jarkko Niemi, a research professor at the Natural Resources Center (Luke). -article was born in Produce Protein -project.

article deals with how rural entrepreneurs themselves justify the employment of immigrants. The study examined the recruitment process of rural immigrants from the perspective of legitimacy research. The authors of the article have been Timo Suutari, Project Manager of the Ruralia Institute, and Merja Lähdesmäki, Senior Researcher.
