Tree-D Lab is a research group in the Department of Geosciences and Geography at the University of Helsinki. Founded in 2019, our group conducts basic and applied ecological research in terrestrial ecosystems to investigate how forests will respond to future changes.
We are interested in understanding interactions between forests, fauna, human activities and climate through the application of advanced geospatial technologies, including state-of-the-art terrestrial laser scanners, spaceborne remote sensing and field-based microclimate measurements.
