The working group of the Mannerheim professorship, which started its activities in 2022, brings together promising young researchers whose research topics explore the central issues of Russia's foreign and security policy and strategic thinking.
The working group is led by Associate Professor Katri Pynnöniemi, Mannerheim Chair of Russian Security Studies at the University of Helsinki and the Finnish National Defence University. Currently, the working group has three doctoral researchers and one visiting doctoral researcher: Santeri Kytöneva, Viktor Lambin, Mira Ruokolainen and Amelie Tolvin.
