Environmental stressors and infection risk

What is the role of environmental stressors in driving infection risk in small mammals and their predators?

Climate and land use change along with environmental pollution affect small mammal behavior and can immunocompromise animals towards increased infection with and transmission of epizootic and zoonotic pathogens. We integrate ecotoxicology, physiology, and virology to ask why and how environmental stressors translate into animal and human health.
