Prof. Santos post-doc and PI, Dr. Wei Li Receives the Faculty of Pharmacy Young Researcher Award 2020

The awards annually the Young Researcher's Award to a promising young researcher of the faculty. The Board of the Drug Research Program of the Faculty of Pharmacy evaluated Docent, Dr. ’s academic merits as notable (based on the number and quality of his publications, the amount of funding secured, and the number of doctoral students supervised), and decided to give the Young Researcher’s Award 2020 to Dr. Wei Li.

In 2015, Dr. Wei Li received his PhD degree in Germany and moved to the University of Helsinki with Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Fellowship under the supervision of Prof. Santos. At the University of Helsinki, he has secured grants from the Academy of Finland, Sigrid Jusélius Foundation, Orion Research Foundation, and Finnish Cultural Foundation, and published more than 10 papers on journals of high impact. In addition, he has co-supervised/supervised several bachelor, master and PhD students. The Faculty of Pharmacy appointed him Principal Investigator in 2019, and the University of Helsinki awarded him the Title of Docent in 2020.
