Lung factor research group consists of clinicians working in close collaboration with basic scientists and biobanks (Helsinki Biobank, THL Biobank and FinBB). The research focus areas are diseases, that do not yet have effective cure such as pulmonary fibrosis and mesothelioma. The group leader Marjukka Myllärniemi is the professor in pulmonary medicine and Vice-dean for research at the Medical Faculty. HUH Heart and Lung center is an integral part of the research.
