Kantele group’s research centres on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), intestinal microbes, spreading of microbes across borders by travellers and migrants, travellers’ diarrhoea, diarrhoea in LMICs, urinary tract infection, returning travellers, tropical diseases, vaccinations, and infection immunology. Many of these themes have a common denominator: intestinal microbiota and host.
