We congratulate our colleague and long-time collaborator Robert Kozak for receiving an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry of the University of Helsinki. This title is the highest recognition by the University of Helsinki. The Faculty will appoint eight honorary doctors in total, during the traditional Solemn Conferment of Master’s and Doctor’s Degrees on 18–22 June 2022. The Conferment of Degrees (in Finnish 'Promootio') is an academic ceremony that celebrates masters and doctors.
Professor Kozak is a Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Forestry at The University of British Columbia UBC, Canada. His research interests include sustainable business management related to forestry, wood products and nature conservation. He has been cooperating with the Department of Forest Sciences at the University of Helsinki for more than ten years.
