Managing food safety during Covid-19 pandemic (2021-)
Covid –19 epidemic has impacted food businesses and food control. The exceptional situation has forced authorities and food businesses to implement new mode of actions, which can influence food safety.

Covid-19 pandemic has challenged both the food sector and official food control. This project elucidates the effects of the pandemic on food safety measures in food processing both during the pandemic and possible consequences lasting beyond the pandemic. Further we will investigate the usability and reliability of new food control methods applied during the pandemic with focus on remote methods. The project is funded by Walther Ehrström Foundation.
