In addition to the usual laboratory equipment (glassware and scales and such), located within the CatLab facilities are the following special equipment:
Synthesis:
- 23 fume hoods with Schlenk lines
- 2 argon atmosphere gloveboxes
- Autoclaves/pressure reactors of various sizes (20-2000 mL; 10-200 bar)
- a ChemSpeed automated synthesis platform
- 5 VAC solvent purifier systems
- 3 microwave reactors
Analysis:
- 2 GCs with EI-MS & FID
- 1 HPLC with UV and RID
- A ReactIR in situ IR probe
- UV/VIS
Additionally, we have access to the department's other equipment, including but not limited to:
- NMRs of 400, 500, and 600 MHz
- GCs and HPLCs fitted with other detectors
- XRD (single-crystal and powder) and XRR
- Elemental analysis
- TG
- Various electron microscopes
