There is one application period each year for University-funded doctoral researcher positions for all of the University's doctoral programmes.
The next application period for salaried positions will be in 29.08.-14.09.2023.
This year, University of Helsinki opens 128 4-year positions starting in January 2024. A share of the positions are earmarked in particular for Multidisciplinary research on One Health, including a global dimension.

A UH salaried position means that you receive a salary as an employment contract with the University for working on your doctoral thesis.
Post-graduate study rights allow you to pursue a post-graduate doctoral degree at one of the UH faculties. Study rights do not include funding.

If you are offered both a salary position and funding from another source, you may have to choose how to use the funding appropriately.
The educational documents of applicants are assessed by doctoral programmes and must be included as part of the application.
