The research offer world class logistics and support for research and teaching year round. The stations provide long term environmental background data sets from the Baltic Sea to the north of Finland. The modern infrastructure supports a wide variety of research, from field studies to laboratory analyses including accommodation and catering services.

All of the RESTAT UHEL -stations provide short or long term accomodation for anyone wishing to stay at the stations. The four stations which operate on a year round basis offer accommodation in modern rooms with board and lodging (full board). Single rooms and family apartments are also available on request. Pets are allowed on special rooms. There are both cable and WIFI internet connections available. In the accommodation buildings (and some rooms) are also small kitchens equipped with basic kitchen ware.

The four RESTAT UHEL stations which operate on a year round basis offer catering services. Three meals are usually available. In the weekends the kitchens are closed, except during large courses or seminars. Please, check the kitchen opening hours and ask for special diets before arriving at the station. The kitchens can serve special events on request!

In the accommodation buildings (and some rooms) are also small kitchens equipped with basic kitchen ware.

Tvärminne (TZS) and Lammi (LBS) offer a range of laboratory services and are equipped with modern analysers. The laboratories have personnel to carry on the analyses.

Kilpisjärvi (KILPIS) and Hyytiälä (HFFS) have laboratory facilites for basic analysis and preparation of samples.

The stations are equipped with modern seminar and lecture rooms. There are a plethora of logistical equipment to help with organising different courses. The skilled personnel is in a key position to ensure the smooth running of the courses.

One have to remember that the stations are situated in very specific places and represent different aspects of the finnish nature and landscapes. Having a seminar in one of these stations you do not just reserve a seminar room but get a chance to experience a piece of Finland at its best.
