Upcoming: Finland-Rwanda Education Forum - Strengthening International Educational Collaborations

Finland-Rwanda Education Forum, scheduled for 3-5 April 2025, will be a pivotal event bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and educational institutions from Finland, Rwanda, and beyond to explore collaborative opportunities.
A Gateway to Global Educational Collaborations

The Finland-Rwanda Education Forum, taking place in Kigali, is a key event aimed at strengthening the bilateral ties and fostering sustainable development, innovation, and economic growth between Finland and Rwanda. Additionally, the forum will emphasize Rwanda’s strategic role as a gateway to East Africa and the importance of sectors such as digital infrastructure, finance and education in enabling economic growth and regional integration.

The forum will also include a 4-hour education program on Friday, 4th April, where institutions will present their work, discuss collaboration strategies, and explore opportunities for mutual growth. With an expected attendance of around 100 participants, including representatives from both public and private international and Rwandan institutions and education officials, the event provides a platform for valuable exchange of ideas and the development of long-term partnerships.

What the Forum Offers for Finnish Educational Institutions

For Finnish educational providers, the Finland-Rwanda Education Forum offers a unique opportunity to connect with Rwandan institutions and explore new avenues for collaboration. Whether you're looking to expand your global footprint, establish new partnerships, or learn from existing models, this forum provides a strategic platform for:

1) Showcasing Your Expertise:
A dedicated 1-hour session allows Finnish institutions to present their offerings and explore partnership opportunities with Rwandan counterparts. This is an excellent opportunity to highlight your institution’s strengths and potential for collaboration.

2) Learning from International and Local Experiences:
Gain insights from other international education providers operating in Rwanda, as well as from Rwandan institutions themselves. This offers Finnish institutions a deeper understanding of how to navigate global partnerships and tailor approaches to the local context.

3) One-on-One Matchmaking Sessions:
In the afternoon, Finnish institutions will have dedicated one-on-one sessions with Rwandan educational organizations, arranged through a matchmaking tool. These 15-minute rotations allow for focused discussions on potential collaborations, laying the groundwork for future partnerships.

4) Explore Collaboration Models:
Through presentations like the 1-hour session from the HEP-TED project, participants will learn about successful Finnish-Rwandan partnerships and how to initiate similar collaborations in both Finland and Europe. This offers a roadmap for institutions looking to engage more deeply in international projects.

5) Hybrid Participation Option:
For those unable to attend in person, there is potential for a hybrid participation option, ensuring Finnish institutions can still take part and contribute remotely.
