A Recently Discovered Roman Military Camp in the Central Areas of the Mountain

Roman military installations and pottery have also been traced in inner areas of Jebel Bishri showing that the central areas were not devoid of the Roman control either.

The maps illustrating the Roman history, however, indicate that the area is empty of finds. This is due to the fact that before the Finnish project the vast surface area of Jebel Bishri was practically unexplored.
