Call for the Ruralia Visiting Fellow is now open!

The University of Helsinki Ruralia Institute Visiting Scholars Programme is an opportunity for experienced
scholars in the field of rural studies to spend 1–2 months at the Institute during the academic year 2023–
2024.

Visiting Scholars are expected to interact and form networks with the Ruralia Institute’s academic staff, to plan joint research, publications and/or development projects, and to participate actively in the academic life of the Institute.

The Ruralia Institute has two units, one located at Seinäjoki in western Finland and the other at Mikkeli in eastern Finland. Applicants are free to choose either of these units in accordance with their research interests. The stay is supported with a scholarship of 2800 euros.

The call for scholarship applications will be open from 1 March until 30 April 2023.
