Surachet Imlimthan awarded one-year postgraduate scholarship by the Finnish Cultural Foundation

Tracers in Molecular Imaging (TRIM) Group Ph.D. student Surachet Imlimthan was awarded a one-year postgraduate scholarship by the Finnish Cultural Foundation to finalize his Ph.D. studies on the development of multimodality molecular imaging tools for nanocrystalline cellulose and lignin drug delivery systems

M.Sc. Surachet Imlimthan has been awarded a full 24 000 euro scholarship for his Ph.D. studies in Radiochemistry and the Doctoral Programme of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences (CHEMS-DP) by the Finnish Cultural Foundation in the September 2018 call. The goal of Surachet's Ph.D. research under the supervision of Dr. Mirkka Sarparanta is to develop new multimodality molecular imaging tools for the in vivo evaluation of novel nanocrystalline cellulose and lignin nanoparticle -based drug delivery systems in mouse models of breast cancer and metastatic melanoma. The award is intended for the finalization of the Ph.D. work in 2019–2020 and we are happy to say that the project is well underway in order to realize this goal. The TRIM Group congratulates Surachet on this fantastic achievement!
