Former PhD student of Prof. Santos' group, Neha Shrestha, received the Award of the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis in Pharmaceutical Sciences 2016-2017

This award is attributed by the International Association Pharmaceutical Technology

Many congratulations to my former PhD student, Dr. Neha Shrestha, for the Award of the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis in Pharmaceutical Sciences 2016-2017, attributed by the International Association Pharmaceutical Technology at the 11th PBP World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology in Granada, Spain (20.3.2018).

We are very proud for this your great achievement and very proud to have been the supervisor of this fantastic thesis together with Prof. and Dean Jouni Hirvonen. The awarded thesis was entitled:

"Mesoporous silicon systems for oral protein/peptide-based diabetes mellitus therapy"

This is the second time our group receives such Award. Last time was in 2014 at the 9th PBP World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology in Lisbon, with the thesis:

"Biocompatibility and biofunctionalization of mesoporous silicon particles"
