Reijo Miettinen visited University Arturo Prat in Iquique and in Santiago de Chile, where he gave talks on the following themes:
1) The Finnish comprehensive school system as a model of school development,
2) Polytechnics and their contribution to local regional development,
3) Innovations by teachers and students in the Finnish school system.
While in Iquique, Miettinen also gave a lecture at the Mining College Juan Pablo II of Alto Hospicio.
