ICC COURSE

The Development Group has co-created a Nordic course offered virtually to bachelor’s or master’s level students wishing to include intercultural communicative competencies (ICC) studies in their degree.
Intercultural communicative competences course

The ICC course is a series of 3 intercultural communication courses organized by the universities of Helsinki, Stockholm, Iceland and Copenhagen:

  • KK-ENG410 Navigating Academic Cultures, 2 op
  • KK-ENG411 The Role of Language in Intercultural Communication, 2 op
  • KK-ENG412 Engaging with and Reflecting on Culture(s) and Identities, 3 op

Each course is designed in a way that allows for it to be taken as an individual course, or in conjunction with 1 or 2 other courses in the same series. At the University of Copenhagen, the courses form one course worth 7,5 ECTS due to Danish regulations. There is a cap of 10 students for each course from each university. Students will work autonomously and interact with participants from all 4 Nordic universities.
