Application for the second round of the University of Helsinki’s Compass Pre-Incubator for developing Deep-tech, Artificial Intelligence, and Sustainability based solutions or opportunities are now open. Organised by Helsinki Incubators and powered by the City of Helsinki, the Compass pre-incubator programme will start on the 17th of January. The programme will last for 2 months, and aims to take on 15 -20 teams in its 2nd batch with applications open until December 18th.
The Compass Pre-incubator is part of the Kumpula Campus' base offerings designed to provide researchers, students, alumni, and members of the university community with the necessary foundations to start their journey into entrepreneurship. During the 2 months, participants will take part in bi-weekly in-person workshops, which will be divided into two parts: first, a group of experts will make a general presentation of the day’s topic. Then, the participants will get to implement what they've learned in the earlier part of the session to develop their business ideas. As with all the Helsinki Incubators programmes, Compass will be held in English.
More information about the second Compass Pre-Incubator programme can be found here, and the programme's schedule can be found here.
Turning ideas into viable and prosperous businesses is not an easy job. Would be entrepreneurs need to have dedication and commitment and require support and advice. Compass will provide the teams with the needed "Business 101" information to help them transform their novel ideas into successful and scalable endeavours. Moreover, it will provide the foundation for the teams to build a supporting network of experts, advisors, and peers to lean on when needed.
To properly provide all of this, the Helsinki Incubators team is working closely with a network of experts from multiple industries for them to come and share their stories and experiences of both success and failure with the participating teams. Additionally, the team is actively looking for the best possible workshop leaders in key business areas to guide teams in the creation of their enterprises. The names of these experts will be revealed very soon on the programme's schedule page and on Helsinki Incubators' social media channels.
Currently, the Compass pre-incubator programme is looking for passionate individuals and teams who are eager to transform their Deep-tech, Artificial Intelligence, or Sustainability ideas/solutions into successful enterprises. If you are interested, please apply here by December 18th!
