Portable Antiquities of the Netherlands launches a mobile app

On July 15, Portable Antiquities of the Netherlands launched a mobile phone app for find registering in the Netherlands.

The app works closely together with the . It guides the user through the first steps of the find registering - with location data provided by the phone automatically. In a second step, extra photographs of clean finds and additional data are entered into the database. After the app release, many new searchers approached PAN for an account.

Although the PAN website is bilingual in all its content, the app is in Dutch only.
