BIU is part of the Helsinki BioImaging (HBI) and platforms of . BIU operates under the Medicum unit at the , and is located in the Biomedicum Helsinki 1 building at the (see the map by clicking on the link).
We are also part of Biological imaging network, and provide nationwide technology services on advanced light microscopy techniques. We belong to and provides access to cutting-edge imaging technologies, image data storage solutions and different analysis tools to international visitors.
Our services are available for all local, national, and international customers – both from academia and companies. In 2023, BIU provided services to 279 researchers from 96 research groups.
