Training

The GoEditStem platform organizes courses for students and the cores also provide consultation and hands-on training in CRISPR editing, iPSC culture, and in using the instruments and facilites beloning to the core.
Training for instruments and facilities

Training for Biomedicum Virus Core (BVC)

Biomedicum Virus Core (BVC) is a biosafety 2 level laboratory for customers working with GMO2 level transfer vectors. To be able to access the facility, customer needs to be registered as a user and go through the Biosafety training organized by the personnel of BVC. BVC Biosafety manual is used as a base for the training.

The biosafety training includes the guidelines and requirements from the Board for Gene Technology (Geenitekniikan lautakunta) for BSL2 work and principles how to act in a BSL2 laboratory. All possible safety precautions are handled in the training and also described in the BVC Biosafety manual.

The training is organized when the need arises and costs 120 €/customer from the University of Helsinki.

Training for Incucyte S3

The IncuCyte S3 continuously acquires and analyzes images, supporting up to six microplates simultaneously. Users can schedule experiments with varying image acquisition frequencies and magnifications. The system also allows remote access with unlimited free licenses. Available IncuCyte S3 modules include Standard, Scratch Wound, Whole Well, Dilution Cloning, and Chemotaxis, along with Basic Analyzer and Neurotrack modules for analysis.

BSCC provides basic training required for using the IncuCyte S3 system. User fee is time-based.
