The cell viability assay is performed in 96-well plate format. A luminescent assay determines the number of viable cells in culture by measuring ATP level. In screening assay, 18 samples per plate can be tested in triplicate at the single concentration, and in dose response assay 2 samples at 9 concentrations in triplicate.
Primarily, user is expected to provide the cell line for the assays. Availability of cell lines can also be inquired from the research group of prof. Päivi Tammela by email (paivi.tammela@helsinki.fi) or when submitting project request in iLab.
