FIMM Innovation & Commercialization Club

FInCo Club is a new initiative at FIMM supporting researchers interested in innovation, entrepreneurship, and the commercialization of scientific ideas. The club aims to clarify how discoveries—whether biological, technological, or software-based—can move toward real-world applications or spin-off companies, and to connect researchers with the experts and resources available within the university ecosystem.
Join the Club

To stay updated on upcoming events, seminar announcements, and future activities, you are invited to join the FInCo Club mailing list. Subscribers will receive occasional updates with event details, speaker information, and opportunities to contribute ideas or questions for future seminars. This is the easiest way to stay connected as the club grows and new initiatives emerge.

Activities

Our activities will begin with a monthly seminar series, featuring speakers from Helsinki Innovation Services, SPARK Finland, funding agencies, and experienced founders. These seminars will focus on practical topics such as invention disclosures, IP, commercialization pathways, and early-stage funding. Depending on interest and engagement, the club may later expand to include interviews, workshops, or other interactive formats.

We invite all interested colleagues to help shape the FInCo Seminar Series 2026 by completing a short questionnaire. You can propose topics, recommend speakers or organisations, and share the key questions you would like addressed at future seminars. Your input will directly guide the programme. Up to three suggestions can be submitted per form, and multiple submissions are welcome.
