Due dates have been postponed over Easter

The due dates between 23 March and 14 April in Helka database have been moved to Wednesday, 15 April 2020. Helsinki University Library will automatically postpone the due dates as long as the exceptional situation continues. 

For the time being, members of the University of Helsinki can make reservations for books on loan in Helka by logging into their user account. During the exceptional situation, Helsinki University members can also reserve books that are currently available for home loan. Request for books on the shelf is free of charge. The library will not charge for reservations either for the time being. Please note that the request service may need to be suspended. We follow the instructions and regulations of the authorities.

Book request service is very busy at the moment, so you will not be able to pick up the books you order immediately. You will be notified when the book is available for pick-up. The request form and further information on the library website.

Both requested and reserved books will be available for self-service pick-up in Kaisa House. The book pick-up area is limited to the entrance floor of Kaisa House (3rd floor), in the self-service pick-up area. However, the safety of customers and staff must be guaranteed in all cases. We hope that you stay home and only pick up material from the library if absolutely necessary. Most library services are available online and the library's experts can be reached through email and phone as usual.
