University of Helsinki urges both its students and staff stay home and work remotely during the exceptional situation caused by the corona virus. The library aims to provide support for the university community in these exceptional circumstances.
Library Enabling Independent Study and Remote Work
The library professionals are working remotely for the most part. You can contact them normally by email or phone. Contact information can be found on the website or University of Helsinki People Finder.
All library service emails are operating normally. Please note that in the customer service there may be longer waiting period in these exceptional circumstances.
The library has canceled all teaching on the campuses and the information seeking workshop in Kaisa and Viikki from the 17th of March to the 31st of May, 2020.
During the exceptional situation, you can study information seeking by taking online courses or via various learning materials.

Remote Guidance on information seeking

As a member of the University community you can submit an acquisition proposal normally. However, only electronic material can be made available for the time being.
Libraries are being closed all around the world because of the pandemic situation and interlibrary loan services cannot function normally.
During the exceptional situation, interlibrary loan service is working in limited resources. You can submit your request using the online form, and we will get back to you.
