Urban Academy

Urban Academy is a platform and network that brings together multidisciplinary research, teaching and societal impact in the field of urban studies. It is a partnership of five organizations: Aalto University, University of Helsinki, City of Espoo, City of Helsinki and City of Vantaa.

Urbaria and  cooperate closely within  to bring together and promote the newest research done in the field of Urban Studies. The encounters for the researchers are organized in the . Similarly, cooperation has been extended to education since 2017 when the  became a joint programme of both universities.

City of Helsinki

Urbaria collaborates in many ways with the city of Helsinki including research projects, research funding, seminars, workshops and science sparring. City of Helsinki is a partner via   seminar is organized in close cooperation with Urban Research and Statistics Unit of the city.

Urban Studies Collective

KATUKO (Urban Studies Collective) is formed of PhD students from different Finnish universities, faculties, disciplines and viewpoints with the common factor that we wish to meet and discuss in a low threshold manner with fellows in the same professional situation. Peer-support has developed into a way of interaction.

Housing Fair Finland

is the biggest housing related event in Finland. In 2018, Urbaria and USP and Urban Academy organized Post Urbana Science Fair to showcase new projects in Urban Research
