The DogRisk research group receives a donation of 100,000 euros

The Snellman Group's pet food business joined the fundraising campaign of the DogRisk research group by donating 100,000 euros to the study of dogs' eating habits. The donation will support research on the effect of different feeding methods on the health of dogs.

Studying dogs' eating habits and their health effects is vital as it allows us to understand how different feeding methods affect dogs' health, quality of life, and lifespan.

"We are very grateful for the support of Snellman Petfood, which enables our research to continue. Donations like this provide us the freedom to conduct independent research", says Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine Anna Hielm-Björkman, head of the DogRisk research group at the University of Helsinki.

"We have already supported research for several years and, now that the DogRisk group is running a fundraising campaign, we wanted to participate with a more significant investment to support the university's research work. At the same time, we hope that other companies in the field will also participate in funding this important research", says Magnus Pettersson, CEO of Snellman Petfood.

Anyone can participate in the fundraising campaign, and every donation – whether big or small – helps the DogRisk research team to continue their cutting-edge research that contributes to dogs' living healthier, happier and longer lives.
