Preparing for your studies

If you do not have any background in cell biology or want to brush up your knowledge, you can prepare for your studies with

Later on, you can take an examination on the contents of the book and get study credits to be included in your degree.

If you want to advance your studies already during the summer, here are some options:

  • The course MAT12001 Statistics and RI is a compulsory course for all. It is offered also by the Open University (11.5.2026-5.7.2026)
  • If you have a chance to get research or industry-related experience, which will not be included into your Bachelor's degree, it might, depending on which study track you eventually choose, be eligible to be credited for your TRANSMED degree.
  • You can also include into your degree up to 15 credits of language studies in Finnish, Swedish or English.
