The admission results (application round from 2 Jan 2025 to 16 Jan 2025) have been sent to the applicants to the e-mail address given on their application form. The results can also be found in the My Studyinfo -service.
TRANSMED programme invites all our prospective new students for studies starting in autumn 2025 to follow this page!
After the publication of the admission results, our student tutors will contact you. You will also be invited to an on-line zoom session to meet the programme director and current students get more information of the programme and student life while you are considering your decision concerning the offered study place.
You do not need to be anxious about the start of the studies or course enrolments in the fall. All new students will get guidance in the planning of the curriculum, selection of courses and enrolment system. You will also receive individual coaching for your personal study plan.
New students have secured seats on the compulsory courses during the first study term, so you can start your studies efficiently.
The autumn studies start with orientation to the university and to the campus, the dates and times of these events will be informed soon.

The orientation week is on 26 – 29 August 2025. The week starts with Welcome to the Faculty of Medicine-event Tuesday 26 August 2025 at 9.15 in Biomedicum Helsinki, lecture hall 2, Haartmaninkatu 8, Helsinki. After this, your programme will continue with obligatory orientation to TRANSMED studies. During the orientation week you can also attend the Helsinki University Check-In Event with your tutors.
The student tutors will be available for your questions. Tutors will also help you in the accommodation to the faculty, the TRANSMED programme and the survival in Helsinki in general.

International TRANSMED students can apply to the UNITalent Programme. It is designed to support international students in building professional networks in Finland and to gain insight into field specific working life. Students take part by attending monthly group meetings with hosting organisation for a period of three months. During the programme, the University Career Services also provides training in career management skills.
