Neuroscience Center (NC) focuses on research in molecular and cellular neuroscience, developmental neuroscience, cognitive and systems neuroscience, and basic research of the nervous system diseases. It currently has 20 research groups and operates mainly in the Meilahti medical campus with some activities also at the Viikki campus.
Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) is an international research institute in Helsinki focusing on human genomics and personalized medicine. FIMM integrates molecular medicine research, Technology Centre and Biobanking Infrastructures “under one roof” and thereby promotes translational research and adoption of personalized medicine in health care.
FIMM is part of Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HiLIFE) and hosted by the University of Helsinki.
