Master Class - Co-creating change

Master Class is a multidisciplinary, challenge-based University of Helsinki program for students, young researchers and professionals. The unique program serves as a co-creation platform to develop sustainable, hands-on solutions to real-life challenges defined together with a partner organization. Sustainability Master Class brings to together forward-looking minds and takes them through a four-month long learning-process, generating new ideas, knowledge and insight that help build a vision for the future.

Sustainable solutions to real-life challenges

Master Class equips its participants with problem-solving skills and confidence in their own abilities and potential. We believe academic background combined with a hands-on change-maker attitude is the key to solving the wicked problems our planet is facing. The cooperation with science, students and business creates new thinking and new opportunities. The Sustainability Master Class program focuses on sustainability and CSR issues in global, natural resource-intensive businesses. The program is organized in collaboration with Outotec, one of the global leaders in minerals and metals processing technology as well as sustainability. The very first Sustainability Master Class started in November 2016 and the final solutions will be presented in April 2017. The new program started in January 2018.
