All private donations to the 375 Future Fund or one of the University’s other donation funds support the University’s strong, international multidisciplinary basic research. Donations to the 375 Future Fund will be matched by the government’s matched-funding scheme.
We invite all donors of €1,000 or more to join the donor community, Club Giraffe, the inner circle of science! Donors whose monthly gift to science reaches the qualifying total will also be invited to join Club Giraffe.
A donation of €1,000 to the 375 Future Fund can be worth up to €4,000, thanks to the government’s matched-funding scheme.
- With €1,000, you can donate a scholarship for one talented student in any field you like. A donation of €20,000 is required for a permanent scholarship.
- With €40,000, you can donate one year of full-time work for a young researcher.
- A donation of €1 million can establish a permanent researcher fellowship bearing your name.
- Travel grants to promote internationalisation among undergraduate and doctoral students range from €2,500 upwards. A donation of €40,000 can establish a permanent travel grant.
The University of Helsinki has a money collection permit (POL-2014-11212), which is valid 13 October 2014–31 December 2017. The funds will support the University of Helsinki's research, teaching and community engagement. The permit covers all of Finland, with the exception of Åland.
